Whew we escaped Illinois, soy bean ... cornfield. ..soy bean... cornfield. .. hundreds of miles of fields as far as the eye could see. Took a ferry across the Illinois river only to cross it again 2 more times on bridges while following the Great River Road. Found our way through the Illinois corn maze to Iowa. Once across the Mississippi River we followed it to Le Claire to Antique Archeology. Neat place more of a museum/gift shop. Mike, Frank, and Danielle were nowhere to be seen. Left there looking for accommodations and stumbled across Buffalo Bill Cody's birthplace. Got a super nice mom and pop hotel. Except for the lack of wifi but the upside is I'm drinking a Corona and Stephanie is having a huge margarita in a Mexican Restaurant across the street sucking up their wifi. ... life is good!
