Great Falls, MT |
Stephanie and Kevin's 1st BIG road trip since buying the Victory Touring bikes. Our goal is just going West. With 3 weeks to kill while taking only back roads and photographing along the way. Hoping to find some true Americana. Camping at parks or staying at old roadside motor inns where we can and dinning in mom and pop diners. The way many travelers before us saw America. Good Bye highway, so long Holiday Inn Express, and no more Cracker Barrels.... Hello America here we come!

Day 10 Livingston, MT to St Mary, MT - Kevin
Since the weather gods have been playing with us we have decided to use some reverse psychology. Heading to Glacier National Park, a park with a name of severe weather conditions. The gods did not approve and teased us with beautiful blue skies and threw wind gusts up to 60 mph as we drove north on Hwy 89 across 200 miles of prairie. My left ear was hurting and the bikes were a lean for most of the trip. The ride on Hwy 89 from Yellowstone is beautiful with small western towns and the Lewis and Clark National Forrest was great. Saw great many different birds of prey and a black bear as we entered the town of St Mary. Staying at St Mary Lodge here at the east entrance of Glacier for a few day to explore the park.
