Another travel day not a whole lot of highlights. Did jump on the Interstate for a few hours just to get past Portland Oregon. Once back on the two lane and after a hour or so we saw an aviation museum. There was a Boeing 747 on the roof of one of the buildings. Had to pull in and check this out. The museum had signs for a chapel and a water park too. After closer inspection of the Boeing 747 on the roof of this four story building I realized that it was part of the water park. The 747 had about four water slide chutes coming out of the fuselage. OKAY that's original.
Westward HO. .. the road finally ended we found the Pacific Ocean. Lewis and Clark HA! They needed a small army and Stephanie and I did it by ourselves.
Heading South we stopped for a seafood dinner on the beach at a place called Mo's. Don't go there.
Further south we stopped at an overlook to view the ocean. Saw some gray whales, seals and a lot of water. Chatted with a lady from Portland and she recommended this campground that was just a few miles down the road.
Getting ready to start a camp fire under these beautiful Sitka Cedars and call it an evening.
Great day.
