It's... It's the open road, man.
It's riding free, that's the rush.
This isn't freedom, this is a gas station!
Built by the man! A prison for our souls!
Yup it is a day for riding. Before leaving Glacier National Park we had one small problem, ICE. The bikes we covered in heavy frost and ice. It had snowed overnight on Logan's Pass so we headed south through miles of open range with cows everywhere along side the road for Maria's Pass. Beautiful ride dropping us off on the west side of the park. We made our way towards Flathead Lake and headed south, eventually turning west to Thompson's Pass. At the top of the pass was the Montana/Idaho state line where Stephanie and I pull into a scenic overlook and drove around in circles until she laughed so much we had to stop. Once in Idaho we officially have entered our fourth time zone after about 3,200 miles of riding. We once again were lost and no map or cell phone service to help us find our way. Perfect. While sitting in an old run down gas station two ladies pulled in and saw our Kentucky plates and asked if we were lost jokingly. Our reply was YES. They pointed us in a direction of the freeway and we were off again. Followed a huge lake with a road with more curves and huge mansions than I could count for about a hour and found a state park with camping. Almost 400 miles today with some of the best weather(well started at 36 degrees and I saw 74 at one point today) and roads of the trip.
Another great day with the love of my life.
