Woke a groggy Kevin up 6 a.m. this morning to drive in 40 degree temps, with misty rain, over to Many Glaciers to get what I had hoped to be the perfect reflection shot of the lodge and mountains as the sun came up. Got everything all set up and went to snap my first shot - Oh No!! Camera read "No Card". DOPE SLAP!!! The camera card was in my computer bag back in our room a good 15-20 miles away. And of course the extra cards I had bought were back home in my other camera bag. I was bummed. Took a token picture with my cell phone, just not the same. And for those of you who know Kevin - I pulled a Kevin with that stunt.
Now we are sitting in the lodge's lounge by the fireplace warming up and getting the chill out of our bones from my little "mis" adventure this morning. Better luck tomorrow.
Stephanie and Kevin's 1st BIG road trip since buying the Victory Touring bikes. Our goal is just going West. With 3 weeks to kill while taking only back roads and photographing along the way. Hoping to find some true Americana. Camping at parks or staying at old roadside motor inns where we can and dinning in mom and pop diners. The way many travelers before us saw America. Good Bye highway, so long Holiday Inn Express, and no more Cracker Barrels.... Hello America here we come!
Continuing Adventures
UPDATE!
Some friends ask us to continue Blogging some of our trips. So we will be adding to our Blog as we wonder about. Thanks and we hope to add plenty great memories.
