Day 15 Columbia River Gorge - Kevin

As per usual on our adventure we started out his morning with a Great breakfast at a little place called Mamma Janes. Greeting us there parked out front was and old Chevy pickup truck with four Cocker Spaniels. Two on the roof one on the hood and the fourth laying on the tool box in the bed. They were happy to see everyone and come there everyday with their owner for breakfast. That put a smile on our faces, too cute.
Back to the bike and we were off to shoot the waterfalls of Columbia River Gorge. Our daily  problem pops up again, we know where we want to be but have no idea where we are and how to get there. Then there is a sign Columbia River Discovery Center problem solved. Once there we started shooting the western artifacts scattered about, teepees, wagons and others pieces of rusty iron. While walking up to the visitor center a lady came around the corner and almost walked into me causing quite the startle to the Red Tailled Hawk she was carry on her left hand. Not to mention my surprise and side stepping while the big bird came loose from her arm and flopped about on it's tether. Then Stephanie realized what she was seeing and became ecstatic as a schoolgirl. The lady with the hawk was so gracious and let Stephanie pose with the hawk. I doubt if anything else on the rest of the trip will compare.
Onward to the waterfalls. We traveled about sixty miles of the gorge stopping at waterfalls along the way. These are no small falls, everyone was in the hundreds of feet as they dropped from the rim of the gorge. I don't believe our pictures can ever do them justice. I'll post a video of one of the falls look for Stephanie at the end of the video to give scale to the falls.
Finished our evening with dinner at the Baldwin Saloon. A real old time saloon with a long bar, a piano player and great food. After a shot of Rye after dinner at the bar wE walked back to the motel and too exhausted to post the blog we quickly collapsed into the bed.
Another GREAT day with my honey!
