Day 12 A day of hiking in the American Alps- Kevin

Today was another non travel day here at Glacier. Stephanie got me going at 6am to ride in the misting rain and 44 degrees... brrrrr. We were headed to Many Glacier about a half hour north to photograph Many Glacier Hotel's reflection in the lake at sunrise. Once there and set up I heard this rant that would have made Yosemite Sam proud, Stephanie pulled a Kevin. She left the memory card of her camera back at the lodge..... pitiful sad... LOL. I got a few good shots and returned to the lodge for lunch. After thawing out and our bellies full we decided to return to Many Glacier Hotel to photograph the inside then go hunting for MOOSE!!!!  With some good tips from a park ranger on where to locate moose we were off to Fishcap Lake then onto Red Rocks Waterfall further down the trail. The ranger did us right and we found a female moose grazing in Fishcap Lake and took a lot of pictures. The moose acted as if we did not exist and that was good, moose can kill you quick. Headed on to the waterfall came upon a Downy Woodpecker tearing up a tree next to the trail and he acted as we didn't exist. Wasn't exactly afraid of him but he could put your eye out if he wanted... LOL. further down the trail we came upon a doe and a buck deer and again we didn't exist. Beginning to worry we don't exist, need to wear some different cologne maybe. Red Rock Falls were beautiful and we headed back and the deer passed us on the trail again without a concern in the world about us being there. The rain set in on our hike back and when we got to the bikes it was 44 degrees and raining again just like the way we started. Relaxing by the fire here at the lodge trying to thaw out with my beautiful wife. Great Day Again!!!
